Cecilie Authen is qualified conservator with the Norwegian Museum Association. She has a Master’s degree in Traditional Arts (Norwegian Photo History) and has taken various cultural and research-related postgraduate courses, including Culture and Leadership at USN, Cultural Theory (USN PhD program), Research Ethics and Epistemology (UiO PhD program).

Cecilie has previously studied composition and is active both as a musician and photographer. She has curated and contributed to several photo exhibitions, written books on Norwegian photo history, and is active in the Photo Network.
