Rikard Berge is a fabled name in the history of Telemark Museum, literally. He was a curator at the museum from 1916 to 1951 and ran a folklore collection in Telemark. He collected and wrote down fairy tales, legends, folk traditions, and stories that are archived at the museum. Richard left behind a collection of 40,000 handwritten pages, many of them written on this very desk.
