It is a place of identity, of secrets, a fa\u00e7ade, or an inner landscape. This is what we will convey in 2028<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n    \n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"image grid padding\">\n    <div class=\"img-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"648\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/www.telemarkmuseum.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sync-litteratur-i-ibsens-hage-6459-240.jpg\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"Portrait of Henrik Ibsen\" \/><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"text grid-12 side-padding\">\n        <p data-start=\"215\" data-end=\"611\">From 2028, the Henrik Ibsen Museum will focus on the theme of home. In one part of the museum, you will find Henrik Ibsen\u2019s childhood home, and in the other, a new, modern museum building. In many of Ibsen\u2019s plays, the home is a central setting for the action. We aim to explore how the home is connected to identity, secrets, power, and conflict \u2014 and why these themes remain eternally relevant.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"613\" data-end=\"895\">Through many of Ibsen\u2019s characters, we are introduced to existential questions related to the home. Both Hedda Gabler and Nora in <em data-start=\"743\" data-end=\"759\">A Doll\u2019s House<\/em> experience the home as a confined prison. In <em data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"820\">The Wild Duck<\/em>, the home shifts from being a place of safety to becoming a place of lies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"1070\">With this as a backdrop, the concept of home becomes both a physical and an inner space.
