Ulefos Manor, an exceptional empire-style building in Norway, is beautifully situated with views over Ulefos and the Telemark Canal.

The main house was built as a summer residence for the Aall family and was completed in 1807, serving as the family’s home until 2007. Each room holds several layers of history, designed to impress visitors. Important parties and meetings that have influenced Norway’s history have taken place in this building. Have you heard of the king’s room? Or do you know why some of the staircases smell like smoke?

It’s recommended to walk in the garden around the main house, it’s especially beautiful during blooming season and throughout the summer.
