Kari was born in 1971 and has been employed at the museum since 2001. She holds a cand. philol. degree with a major in Nordic archaeology from the University of Oslo. She has also studied Russian and art history, as well as completing some credits in conservation. She has been the long-time collections storage manager at Telemark Museum and has served as project manager for several exhibitions at the museum, including the exhibition Alt dette er ditt (“All This Is Yours”). For many years, Kari has worked as the museum’s exhibition coordinator, which means she has been responsible for coordinating and producing exhibitions at all of the museum’s venues.
Kari spends her free time in the voluntary cultural sector; she is the leader of the Grenland Handicraft Association and an active musician in the amateur orchestra Musikkforeningen Suoni.
