Henrik Ibsen Museum – Ibsen 2028

Project period: 2014-2028

Main objective: Telemark Museum is working towards the opening of a restored and renewed year-round Henrik Ibsen Museum in 2028, along with securing the necessary operational funding. In celebration of Henrik Ibsen’s 200th anniversary in 2028, Ibsen’s childhood home will be restored according to conservation principles. We will also develop the entire museum complex at Venstøp, including a climate-controlled barn, as well as the garden and outdoor areas, so that the museum appears more authentic, with a renewed presentation of Henrik Ibsen’s biography and literature.
